Join our database of teaching artists to share your passion with students in Burke County. You will be the first to hear about opportunities such as Workshops, Artist in Residencies, Commissions, Projects, and more that involve student participation. These opportunities will include regional projects with our partner at the North Carolina Museum of Art and gigs with local entities such as Burke County Public Schools (BCPS) the City of Morganton Municipal Auditorium (CoMMA), Burke Arts Council (BAC), and TOSS.

What are the Qualifications?
You don’t need to have prior experience working with students to join the database, only a passion for sharing your art and a desire to work with youth.
If you do not reside in Burke County, you will need to be willing and able to travel to our area.
You must be willing to pass a background check through BCPS
What is the compensation for these Opportunities?
Any opportunity we share will be a paid opportunity, commiserate with your level of experience.
If you are interested in volunteering, we will happily accommodate, but we strongly believe artists should be paid for their time.
When/Where/How?
Opportunities to share artistic disciplines occur throughout the school year and during the summer months.
We work specifically in Burke County and support the Burke County Public School System (BCPS).
We also love sharing opportunities which arise from other values-aligned entities (listed above) When these opportunities arise, a RFQ will be sent to our database and artists will have the opportunity to apply, or for less formal projects, connect to program administrators or BCPS teachers to take next steps.
